Happy with the case.
Pros:
-The case protects my Nex 5N incredibly properly
-Opens conveniently and swiftly
-Detachable physique portion can be kept on to shield the camera without having the lens protection.
-Inner lining is extremely soft and I count on it to avoid scratches.
Cons:
-Really fitted, it will not let any space to hold the flash or any accessories
-The screw(big round black issue with two modest buttons about it) that attaches from the case to the tripod receptacle does not fit rather properly considering that of the inner-lining of the case. You have to screw it in fairly tough to get it close and even then, there is a modest amount of space. Just a minor gripe that bothers the crap out of me.
Conclusion:
-Will likely be using my CaseCrown sling bag ([...])and Sling Strap (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DPOTXG) significantly more regularly given that I can have my flash. But I'll maintain this case for other items.
I purchased the case since of some good reviews, and the pictures here looked beneficial. Sadly, the case I got was not like the photos.
There are no straps that snap around the camera strap as pictured, just slits in the "leather" where you ought to snake the strap by means of to attach it to the camera body. Not so effortless to do when you're in a hurry. Did I get an unfinished one particular?
The bottom piece gets screwed into the camera's tripod socket. There is a threaded socket at the bottom of it, supposedly allowing you to connect a tripod though you have the case on. Regrettably, the socket is not the universal 1/four-20 size that most tripod screws are. It even looks as well small for it to be a three/8-16 socket, but I couldn't come across an adapter to attempt. It screws into the camera just fine. Why did not Cosmos match the screw on the top with its socket on the bottom? None of the other reviewers so far stated they in fact put to use a tripod with the case on -- just that it could be carried out.
I tried to like this case, but there are as well numerous points incorrect with it, other than the ones I've talked about. The other reviewers talked about those already.
RMA'd and on its way back.
