I bought this item given that I didn't want to spend $60 for the original sony charger. I charged 2 new Sony NEX-5 camera aftermarket batteries on this charger when it initially arrived in May perhaps of this year. They each charged at 100%. When the aftermarket batteries ran out of juice presently, I tried to recharge one particular of them employing this charger for only a 3rd time, and it overheated in the outlet, and burned out leaving an an aweful smell.
