I not too long ago got two of these, one for my NEX-5 and one for my father's NEX 5N. It works fantastically for the NEX 5, clips on wonderful, stays, and works extremely well. On the NEX-five, there are two smaller cutouts on the bottom of the LCD panel that this clips into... for some cause, those small indents are not there on the 5N, so it does not stay on too well. Surely acquire this if you are an NEX-five owner, but if you happen to be on the 5N appear elsewhere.
I looked about and couldn't get a 'more substantial' hood for the NEX so I went with this one particular.
The overall really feel is super low-priced plastic, and I'd be utterly shocked if this lasted especially long. Though it fits perfectly on the NEX screen, even a tiny nudge cause the hood to pop off.
Thinking of how much this fees, it really is practically impossible to be angry ... and there extremely doesn't seem to be anything better on the industry.
